I’ve known Astrid Bray for quite a few years, and I have followed her from London to Cape Town and back to London. Every time she moves somewhere, she gets my attention, as I know she wouldn’t be there unless the property was great to begin with, and there wasn’t something she could do to help make it even better. When she told me that she had accepted the position as General Manager of the newly opened Grosvenor House Apartments last summer, I was thrilled. Not only for her, but also for London..!
In a city full of world-class places to stay, there has never been a property that offered guests the services of a five-star hotel, along with the discretion, space and freedom of their own home, at least until now. Imagine an exclusive Mayfair address on the corner of Park Lane and Mount Street filled with contemporary residences ranging from studios to a five-bedroom penthouse, and you will be home. The entrance is discreet, the style is definitely masculine, and everything is yours for the asking. Need a professional Chef, someone to prepare breakfast, run errands or just be there when you need them..? Just ask. Can’t live without a Butler and an Aston Martin to get around town..? Just ask, or book one of the four penthouses on the top floor. If you do, the car and butler will come with your residence.
When Denise and I stayed, we were in town for 10 days and the location and at home feel was perfect. In fact we were so happy with our surroundings, that we held a catered business lunch in our apartment, had a breakfast meeting downstairs in the restaurant, and used the Business Centre and Boardroom as our London office. Everything went perfectly, and while we were the only people we saw carrying Waitrose bags in the elevator, we know that most residents were getting regular deliveries from Abel & Cole. Unfortunately they only do organic, and most of the good stuff that’s bad for you can’t be found on their shopping list..!
