Barry’s Bootcamp Beat – Dustin’s and Brian’s Playlist

boston_plistHow can you be the Best Workout in the World and not be in Boston? Boston is the very definition of STRONG! We’re finally remedying that by bringing Barry’s Bootcamp to Boston this September! Barry’s Bootcamp is scheduled to open Downtown at the end of September, but we’re giving you one of their playlists as a sneak preview.

Dustin Martin and Brian Weller, finance industry gurus turned fitness trainers, are the owners of the studio and have recently left their lucrative jobs in finance to follow their passion for fitness. Their entrepreneurial spirits allowed them to bring a workout that they have come to love to the city of Boston. They are now not only the owners, but they have relocated to Boston and undergone intense training to become instructors at the studio as well. Check out their pre-opening playlist! Subscribe or listen on Spotify for free, or download the tracks from iTunes (click on the images).

Brian Weller, Co-Owner and Instructor

Brian was born in Syracuse, NY and after attending Villanova University he moved to NYC to pursue a job in finance. After working for two financial firms over almost a decade he decided to stop the rat race and follow his true lifelong passion of fitness. Brian has always been very active throughout his life whether it was playing sports, competing in triathlons, or snowboarding. While in NYC, Brian got hooked on Barrys Bootcamp and became an avid devotee. He couldn’t get enough of the workouts, sense of community, and great vibe of the brand. Brian currently lives in Charlestown with his wife and 8 month old son, Jack where they spend as much time as they can in the local parks. Brian can be found pushing his son Jack on any and all swings throughout the city.

Dustin Martin, Co-Owner and Instructor

Athletics and fitness were the largest part of Dustin’s life growing up as the middle child of three in an active family in Syracuse, NY. Dustin played many sports in his youth and eventually went on to excel on the lacrosse field at Washington & Lee University where he was both a Team Captain and Two-Time All-American. After graduating with a double major in Business Administration and The Classics, Dustin pursued a career in finance in New York. Although many of his days and nights were spent in the office over his 8 years there, his passion for physical activity and fitness never faded. He often participated in different types of high-intensity workouts such as boxing and Crossfit, and competed in triathlons, but could never seem to find the right balance between work and his real passion for fitness. That all changed in 2011 when Dustin and his long-time friend Brian discovered Barry’s Bootcamp. Deciding the time was just right, Dustin left his career in NYC and moved to Boston in 2012 to open the 11th Barry’s Bootcamp studio. Dustin is a huge fan of the city of Boston and can’t wait to share his energy and passion with it. He currently lives in the South End, where he and his fiancé Courtney can often be seen running along the Charles River or in local establishments such as El Centro and The Gallows.
